The younger brother of Allustan, Lanod came to Diamond Lake from Magnimar about 10 years ago; just after the hanging of Jarbin Mord, replacing his father who held the position previously. Lanod’s father, Brankus, retired from the position immediately following and left Diamond Lake never to return. Lanod is a sheisty individual and few trust him; but he is quick to apply justice when it is needed; just how much money such justice costs is up for debate. His home is frequented by dignitaries from Magnimar, mine managers, and just as often countless cronies and concubines.

His home, easily one of the largest and grandest in all of Diamond Lake continues to be improved and expanded. Apparently never short of money, Lanod perpetually pays to have his home undergoing endless construction projects merely to ensure that the size and grandeur of his home outpaces that of the mine managers, whose power and influence he jealously covets.

Visitation for official business with the governor-mayor is done by appointment only and could take as long a 2-3 weeks before such a time is available.
